Joy of life
For those of you who are sick of starting a new life on Monday.

Joy of Life
Conscious choices. Small steps. Lasting change.
You probably already know a lot about what’s good for you.
Eat better. Move more. Get enough sleep. Stress less.
Yeah, yeah, yeah 😂
The problem is, we don’t live in a brochure.
We live in the middle of work, family, poor sleep, emotions, old habits, good days, difficult days, birthdays, Friday treats, and that evening when your brain suddenly decides to open the candy store at ten o’clock.
That’s where Joy of Life needs to work.
What is Joy of Life?
Joy of Life is my 12-week program for those who want better health, more energy, and changes they can actually live with.
Weight loss can be one of the goals.
But Joy of Life is not just a weight-loss program.
Because we are so much more than what we eat and the number on the scale.
Food, sleep, stress, thoughts, emotions, habits, self-esteem, relationships, and everything we have experienced throughout life all affect one another.
For some of us, trauma and past experiences can still influence how we react, feel, eat, protect ourselves, and treat ourselves.
That’s why we work with the whole person.
Not to create a perfect life.
But to create an everyday life that feels better to live in.
“But I know what I should be doing…”
I’ve heard that sentence many times.
I’ve said it myself too.
And yet, we can still find ourselves falling back into the same patterns.
Maybe the problem isn’t that we lack information.
Maybe we need to understand a little more about what is actually happening inside us.
Why do we crave sweets when we’ve had a difficult day?
Why do all our good intentions disappear when we’re tired?
Why do we talk to ourselves in ways we would never talk to a friend?
Why is it so difficult to prioritise our own needs?
Why do we sometimes react much more strongly than we ourselves understand?
And why on earth do we think we have to manage everything on our own?
These are the kinds of connections we’ll explore with curiosity in Joy of Life.
What will we do during the 12 weeks?
We start with something very practical.
We look at your food and your food environment, and begin with a period without sugar to create a little more calm and give ourselves a better starting point.
From there, we build step by step.
Not with 47 new rules all at once 😂
Among other things, we’ll work with:
-
Food and habits, what actually works in your life.
-
Thought patterns, the thoughts that help us, and the ones that keep sending us back into old patterns.
-
Emotions and food, what is really happening when we eat even though we’re not hungry.
-
Stress and sleep, and how they affect our bodies, our mood, and the choices we make.
-
Self-esteem and confidence, the relationship you have with the one person you’ll spend the rest of your life with: yourself.
-
Trauma and past experiences, how what we have been through can leave its mark and influence our thoughts, emotions, reactions, and patterns today.
-
Resistance and habits, what do we do on the day motivation decides to take a well-deserved day off? 😂
-
Micro-changes, small things that can make a big difference over time.
-
Joy of life, what gives YOU energy, meaning, laughter, and a desire to enjoy life?
As a holistic therapist, I have different tools we can use when they are relevant, including EFT and working with thought patterns.
When we touch on trauma and past experiences, we do so with respect for each person’s boundaries and pace. We are not going to dig into the past just for the sake of digging. But if something from the past is still affecting your life today, we can approach it with curiosity and understanding, and use tools that may help.
Joy of Life is not about collecting as many methods as possible.
It’s about discovering what works for you.
And no, you’re not doing this alone ❤️
This may be one of the most important parts for me.
I know what it’s like to make a decision.
To feel motivated.
To have a plan.
And then life happens 😂
It’s so much easier to keep going when someone knows what you’re trying to achieve.
Someone who can cheer you on when things are going well.
And who is still there on the day you say:
“Today, everything went completely off track.”
That’s why the community is an important part of Joy of Life.
We meet as a group every week to talk about the week’s topic, share experiences, ask questions, and help each other move forward.
You’ll also have an individual session with me, so we can take a closer look at your particular situation and what you need.
I’m walking this path with you
I’ve lost many kilos myself.
And I still have around 25 kilos that I would like to lose.
So I’m not going to stand in front of you pretending I’ve discovered the magic formula and that I’m now going to tell you how to live your life.
I’m on my way too.
For me, weight loss is one of my goals.
But I also want better health.
More energy.
Better sleep.
More freedom.
More laughter.
And a life I genuinely want to be present in.
That is really why Joy of Life exists.
Who am I?
My name is Beate Forsvik, and I’m a certified holistic therapist.
But I actually think I’ve been working with people for much longer than my diploma would suggest. 😂
Throughout a long and rather varied working life, I’ve been a coach, mentor, adviser, and the person people turn to when life gets a little tangled. Often behind the scenes.
I’ve taken a few detours in life myself.
Some by choice. Others not quite so much 😂
Today, I can see how much those experiences have taught me about people, trauma, change, and finding your way back to yourself.
And now I’m exactly where I want to be.
I want to use my professional knowledge, my tools, and my life experience to help others move forward.
The first Joy of Life group will be a little special 💃
This is the first time I’m running the complete Joy of Life program as a group.
That’s why I’m opening a pilot group.
You’ll take part in the full 12-week program together with me and the group at a reduced pilot price.
In return, I ask that you stay with us throughout the program and give me honest feedback about what works, what could be improved, and how you experience the program.
So you won’t simply be a participant.
You’ll be part of it right from the very beginning ❤️
Maybe you feel that it’s time?
Not time to become a whole new person, but perhaps time to stop putting yourself and your life on hold.
Maybe you want better health.
Maybe you want to lose weight.
Maybe you miss having energy.
Maybe you feel that past experiences are still taking up more space in your life than you would like.
Or maybe you simply feel:
I want things to be different from this.
Then Joy of Life could be a place to begin.
Because of course we’re going to make changes.
But for goodness’ sake…
We have to live too ❤️
JOY OF LIFE 💃
12 weeks. The whole person. Your life. Small changes. Big results.
Ready to start?
I’m looking forward to walking part of the way with you.
Welcome to Joy of Life.
